Compliance changes rendered certain businesses ineligible to use Cash App, which would leave thousands of users without a payment processor.

THE GOAL

Ensure a seamless transition to Square so users could continue running their businesses and taking payments with minimal disruption.

HOW I HELPED

This project was a collaboration between Cash App and Square, ensuring a cohesive customer experience across both ecosystems.

  • Partnered with the Cash for Business team to understand their audience, customer needs, and product voice and tone.

  • Created a strategy to ensure messaging parity and design a narrative that resonated with the customer base.

  • Mapped Cash App features to Square offerings to clearly communicate to Cash users about the relevance and value of transitioning.
